Nexium Control Tablets 20mg is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn and acid regurgitation).
Reflux is the backflow of acid from the stomach into the gullet (“foodpipe”) which may become inflamed and painful. This may cause you symptoms such as a painful sensation in the chest rising up to your throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).
Nexium Control is not meant to bring immediate relief. You may need to take the tablets for 2-3 days in a row before you feel better. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 14 days.

AstraZeneca has agreed to buy a majority stake in its Nexium maker in a major global market for a year. The company will pay an initial premium to $1 billion, with a 2024 target of $2 billion.
The deal is the latest in a string of acquisitions that has brought in about $6.5 billion in cash, or roughly $2.5 billion of new money for AstraZeneca, according to a filing on the company’s website.
AstraZeneca will pay a 20 percent premium to the acquisition of its Nexium maker in July.
“Nexium has been a leading player in the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and is a significant part of our portfolio,” said Dr. Steven Nissen, an AstraZeneca senior vice president and chief executive officer. “Through this acquisition, we are well positioned to expand our portfolio of prescription drugs for both adults and children and to expand our portfolio of generic products.”

NEXIUM 1MG TABLET is used to manage symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including heartburn, acid regurgitation, nausea, and itching.
NEXIUM 1MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnantics, or by anyone who has menstrual cramps, fits, or blood pressure disorders. In case there is aOSE such as'resistance triangle' or 'onseige' in the company of the tablet, stop and seek medical help right away.
- Use with caution in children with heart failure, kidney disease, or liver impairment- Use with caution in stroke patients, use other drugs that can increase risk forPOS of the tablet, and double the risk of severe side effects- Use with caution in very low body weight (such as very overweight).
- Make it frequent for the person to eat and drink during treatment. Do not exceed the stated dose.
- If you notice any of the following symptoms, contact your doctor immediately: nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss, leg pain or stiffness, chest pain, shortness of breath, leg swelling/ swelling/ tenderners/ pain spreading to arms/ legs (especially in the shoulders/legs), hands/ankles/eductions, heart palpitations](/AHYmsGet.pdf). Grapefruit can increase the risk of side effects such as tooth discoloration and can decrease the effectiveness of NEXIUM 1MG TABLET. Therefore, avoid grapefruit products while taking NEXIUM 1MG TABLET.
- If you are taking NEXIUM 1MG TABLET for the treatment of high blood pressure, NEXIUM 1MG TABLET should not be used alongside other medications containing nelfinavir (Viracept). Before starting treatment with NEXIUM 1MG TABLET, your doctor should determine whether valsartan (Abreva) is an alternative treatment for high blood pressure. If so, the doctor should decide whether to use NEXIUM 1MG TABLET together with, or in combination with, valsartan tablets.
- If you are taking nelfinavir (Viracept) since the past 6 months, talk to your doctor before taking NEXIUM 1MG TABLET. Before starting treatment with NEXIUM 1MG TABLET, let your doctor know if you have any history of blood disorders, severe heart failure, liver problems, blood clotting disorders, blood clotting problems, kidney problems, or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). Tell your doctor if you are on hemodialysis or are on dialysis.
Before starting treatment with NEXIUM 1MG TABLET, let your doctor know if you have any history of severe heart failure, liver problems, blood clotting disorders, blood vessel problems, blood disorder, blood clotting disorder, blood cell problems, or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). Tell your doctor if you are taking any medication for high blood pressure.
- If you are taking fosinopril (Uroxatral) before the treatment with NEXIUM 1MG TABLET, NEXIUM 1MG TABLET should not be used if you are on hemodialysis or on dialysis.
- If you are taking nelfinavir (Viracept) since the past 6 months, let your doctor know if you have any history of severe heart failure, liver problems, blood disorder, blood clotting disorders, blood supply problems, kidney problems, or jaundice (yellow of the skin or eyes).
